News from the 2016 Dorothy Taubman Seminar

The Dorothy Taubman Seminar at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA has been a success since 2008 and brings an unprecedented group of internationally prominent collaborators together. The 2016 Seminar brings outstanding artists from around the country to Temple, including: Yoheved Kaplinsky, Chair of Piano at The Juilliard School; Daniel Epstein and Professor of Piano at Rutgers University and the Manhattan School of Music, who will both present master classes that will include performances by two pre-college sudents as part of this year's partnership with the Philadelphia Music Teachers Association.

The Seminar also includes workshops and this year, for the first time, two physicians will present a special session will be conducted to discuss the validity of the Taubman approach for the prevention and/or healing of piano-related injuries - Dr. Anthony Bazzan, physician from the Integrated Medicine Department at Jefferson Hospital and Dr. Ron Feinberg , Physical Therapist for the Feinberg Chiropractic Center in Broomall, PA. The Seminar, which can be taken for credit or certification, culminates with a gala concert by internationally renowned pianist, Ian Hobson.
