      Eric Schweingruber has appeared frequently as a guest musician with The Philadelphia Orchestra since 1997. He has joined the orchestra on eight international tours, and can be heard on various Philadelphia Orchestra recordings including Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring, Mahler’s Symphonies No. 2 and No. 6, Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5, and Prokoviev’s Symphony No. 6.  He also performed with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, and Oslo Philharmonic during their tours of North America. A former member of the Bay-Atlantic Symphony (NJ) and the Ocean City Pops (NJ), he has appeared as guest principal trumpet with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Ballet, Opera Philadelphia, and the Delaware and Reading (PA) Symphonies. As a chamber musician he has appeared frequently with Philadelphia’s Network for New Music and has performed at the Saratoga Chamber Music Festival and Luzerne Chamber Music Festival.
