Annual ACDA Breakfast - Saturday, February 28, 2015, 7:00 a.m.

The ACDA National Convention is meeting from February 25-28, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our annual breakfast will be held on Saturday morning, the usual time of 7 am.  Dr. Paul Rardin, Directorof Choral Activities, Dr. Mitos Andaya, Associate Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Rollo Dilworth, Dr. Jeffrey Cornelius and Alan Harler are all expected to be there.  Of course I will be there to welcome you once again to this our 26th Reunion.  Dean and Vice Provost for the Arts Robert Stroker will be there to meet you and speak about the Center for the Arts and its place in the greater Temple University. 


It is imperative that you send in your reservation, online or check, but no later than February 15 to guarantee a space and to allow for working with the caterer at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center.  The charge for a beautiful buffet breakfast is $22.00, the same as the past several years, to offset the expenses.  Register online at or send a check made out to Temple University and send it to my address below.  Please be sure to include your name, address, phone number and email address.  If you need to reach me you may call me at 215-232-4891 or by email or  A “Yes” reply and your check are a reservation.  Your online response will also guarantee a reservation.

Opera Philadelphia Performance and Reception - Sunday, May 3, 2015, 2:30 p.m. performance at Academy of Music; 5:45 p.m. Alumni Reception at Estia


Join fellow Boyer College alumni at the Opera Philadelphia performance of Don Carlo featuring Boyer College alumnus, Eric Owens in the role of King Phillip II. Bass-baritone and native Philadelphian Eric Owens comes home to make his much-anticipated role debut as the tyrannical and despondent King Philip II, while Dimitri Pittas, Leah Crocetto, and Michelle DeYoung make their company debuts in a powerhouse cast.


Alumni reception immediately following the performance at Estia, 1405 Locust Street, Philadelphia. Reception registration:  $15 per person.

"Alumni Welcome Reception:  A Toast to the New Season" - Friday, October 10, 2014

Boyer Alumni came together on Friday, October 10, 2014 to celebrate the arts at Homecoming. The 2nd annual “Toast to the New Season” reception for Boyer College alumni immediately followed the Boyer Mosaic Concert.  The “Toast to the New Season” celebration offered Boyer alumni an opportunity to come back to campus, reminisce with former classmates, greet faculty and current students and hear a wonderful performance in the beautiful, vibrant Temple Performing Arts Center (formerly the Baptist Temple).


Choral Reunion - Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5, 2014

On Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5, 2014 over 125 Temple University alumni came together for a Choral Reunion.  The two-day choral festival provided alumni with opportunities to rehearse and sing, participate in workshops, tour Temple University’s Main Campus, attend and/or perform in concerts, reminisce with friends, former classmates, faculty and much more.  The Reunion featured appearances by past and present Choral Activities faculty and friends, including Robert Page, Janet Yamron, Sonya Garfinkle, Alan Harler, Paul Rardin, Mitos Andaya, and Rollo Dilworth.

Alumni Welcome Reception:  A Toast to the New Season - Friday, October 25, 2013

The Alumni Welcome Reception, a new event sponsored by the Boyer College Alumni Association, provided alumni an opportunity to reminisce with fellow alumni and current faculty at a reception and concert at the glorious Temple Performing Arts Center.  Held on Friday, October 25, 2013 the reception brought together nearly 75 alumni who toasted Maestro Luis Biava for his long, storied career at Temple and also toasted the start of a new season of concerts and performances for the Boyer College of Music and Dance.  The reception was followed by a concert featuring the Temple University Symphony Orchestra. 

Thanks to the Temple University Alumni Association (TUAA) for providing a generous grant in support of this event. 

 Annual ACDA Breakfast - February 8, 2014

The ACDA Eastern Division Conference met February 5-8 in Baltimore, Maryland.  The Boyer College of Music and Dance annual breakfast was held on Saturday morning, February 8th for over 60 alumni.  Paul Rardin, Rollo Dilworth, Jeffrey Cornelius, and Alan Harler were in attendance as was Dean and Vice Provost for the Arts, Robert Stroker.  Alumni had the opportunity to speak briefly about their latest professional accomplishments and there was ample time for networking and catching up!
