Music Therapy Workshop

Watch for 2015 dates

This 3-day training will equip delegates to use the Music Therapy Assessment Tool for Awareness in Disorders of Conciousness (MATADOC) in clinical settings. Training includes a theoretical background to disorders of consciousness, implementing a music therapy protocol for assessment of people with disorders of consciousness and tools for scoring the MATADOC.

 

Alan Abel Orchestral Percussion Seminar
June 15 - June 20, 2015
2015 will mark the 10th Anniversary of the Alan Abel Orchestral Percussion Seminar
Clinics and master classes on orchestral repertoire for snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, xylophone, glockenspiel, vibraphone, marimba, tambourine, triangle, castanets, and other instrument with faculty that will include Alan Abel, Christopher Deviney, Don Liuzzi, Angela Zator-Nelson, Tony Orlando, and She-e Wu.

The Dorothy Taubman Seminar teaches the principles of the Taubman Approach through in-depth instruction, hands-on sessions and master classes.

Temple Sings invites choral conductors and enthusiasts to gather in Philadelphia for an opportunity to hone their complete choral craft – from daily master-classes in conducting gesture to interest sessions on a wide variety of topics, including rehearsal techniques, score study, vocal health and technique, selecting excellent repertoire and reading sessions.

 

Wind Conducting and Teaching Workshop

July 6-10, 2015

Wind conductors and educators of all levels are invited to participate in the second summer WCTW in Philadelphia.  Daily sessions will explore physical gestures and relationships to sound, baton technique, rehearsal technique, approaches to score study, percussion tips, programming and repertory ideas, and more.  Three Tracks of Training are offered, the Chamber Track Participants receive a public, recorded performance at the end of the workshop.
