Just prior to graduation each year at Temple University School of Medicine, outstanding students—and the faculty who taught them—are honored for special achievement. On May 16, 2013, thirty-four graduating seniors and eight faculty were honored during a ceremony attended by fellow students, faculty, family, and friends:


STUDENT AWARDS

  • Crystal N. Brown: Mary P. Wiedeman Award for the highest achievement in Physiology
  • Crystal N. Brown: Mathilde and Louis Soloff Cardiology Prize for superior knowledge and skill
  • Matthew B. Cepeda: The Edell Family Endowed Prize in Community Service Medicine
  • Stephen P. Duquette: W. Emory Burnett Prize in Surgery for outstanding work in Surgery
  • Stephen P. Duquette: Raymond C. Truex Award for excellence in Neuroscience
  • Stephen P. Duquette: Joseph C. Doane Memorial Prize for attaining the highest average during all four years of medical school

  • Ryan M. Jones: John Franklin Huber Award in Anatomy
