The Temple University Hospital/MossRehab Resident Training Program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a three-year program designed to equal or exceed the basic requirements for training in the specialty of Physiatry as established by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education. Full-time and volunteer members of Temple University School of Medicine faculty contribute their knowledge and experience in patient care, teaching, and research. Residents actively participate in lectures, grand rounds, seminars, journal clubs, conferences, clinical care, and research projects.
The Training Program includes 50 full-time and volunteer physiatrists, eight individuals with PhD or ED degrees, and 32 residents. The teaching facilities include a university hospital, a large free-standing rehabilitation hospital, pediatric institute and hospital, and two teaching community hospitals. There are unique opportunities for medical rehabilitation research and a large number of educational offerings occur throughout the years. Our standard program must be preceded by a PGY-1 training year.
