Office of Clinical Research Administration



The Office of Clinical Research Administration provides support to the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Podiatric Medicine, Pharmacy and Health Professions and Social Work, regarding the planning, implementation and financial management of clinical trials.


The mission of the Office of Clinical Research Administration (OCRA) is to facilitate the clinical research process at Temple University's Health Sciences Center (HSC) by providing services aimed to:

  • Standardize the contractual and fiscal processes for clinical research to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with University requirements
  • Facilitate regulatory knowledge and support to investigators and clinical research professionals to enhance compliance with federal and institutional requirements
  • Identify and/or support development of new clinical research opportunities in collaboration with our clinical research teams
  • Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration for clinical research at the Health Sciences Center and incorporate available resources throughout the University
  • Support continuing education opportunities for research professionals and the public about the clinical research process to promote efficiency, quality, and integrity that will enhance protection for research volunteers

The OCRA is intended to be a resource for:

  • Faculty and research professionals at Temple University
  • Patients seeking information about clinical research at Temple
  • Sponsors of clinical research exploring collaborative opportunities for clinical research projects with Temple clinical/translational research teams

The OCRA interfaces with research administrative offices across the University to establish practices for research and financial operations to raise awareness of the clinical research mission at Temple University.
