TEMPLE EMERGENCY ACTION CORPS (TEAC)

HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

Working in partnership with Temple University Hospital and The Center for Urban Bioethics and Humanities, the Temple Emergency Action Corps raised $60,000 of badly needed surgical supplies and nearly $20,000 of donations for the Partners In Health Stand With Haiti Fund. Hundreds of Temple University medical students, alumni, faculty and staff have donated to support the Partners In Health relief effort. Join us as we Stand With Haiti.

July 12, 2010:

Six months after the devastating January 12th earthquake in Haiti, there is still much need for humanitarian assistance in Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas. The New York Times reports that “Only 28,000 of the 1.5 million Haitians displaced by the earthquake have moved into new homes,” leaving well over a million people living in tent cities with poor sanitation, limited food and scarce medical care. Please donate today, to help support the Haiti of tomorrow.
