The Moulder Center for Drug Discovery Research received a $5 million pledge to advance its research and education mission. The center's director Magid Abou-Gharbia, Laura H. Carnell Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and associate dean for research, recently won an international award and was named Educator/Researcher of the Year.
Temple students with learning disabilities (LD) or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) pair up weekly with middle school students with similar disabilities to work together on art projects that creatively convey what it means to have LD or ADHD. The program is sponsored by the national organization Eye to Eye.
Michele Masucci was recently named vice provost for research. Demonstrating leadership as interim vice provost for research since 2012, Dr. Masucci is responsible for technology transfer and business development, grant submission, research compliance, research-related training, and management of support programs.
