Anne M. Wilkinson
Anne Wilkinson began working full time at Temple University, Campus Recreation as the Fitness Coordinator/ Assistant Facility Manager of the Independence Blue Cross Student Recreation Center in January 1998. In 2002, Anne was awarded the American Council on Exercise Fitness Director of the Year honors. Anne currently serves as the Assistant Director for Assessment & Training. Her primary areas of responsibility are overseeing the department’s student staff development program and assessment of usage rates, value, satisfaction, learning and development outcomes of participants within a collegiate recreation department.
Anne is an adjunct instructor for the Kinesiolgy and Sport Management departments at Temple University. Anne holds several fitness certifications and is a well respected speaker on motivation, recreation, health & fitness topics for several national fitness companies. Anne is an active member of several professional organizations. She has been an active member of the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) since 1995. She has served on several NIRSA committees and work groups, including past chair of the NIRSA Research Committee and had been named as an editor on the NIRSA Recreation Sports Journal.
In 1995, she received her Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration with a concentration in Marketing from DeSales University and in 1998 her Master of Education in Sports Management from Temple University. Currently, Anne is completing her PhD in Exercise and Sport Psychology at Temple University. She is 2008 Leadership Philadelphia Core Class graduate and past faculty at the Leadershape Institute.
