How did you fund your study abroad experience?
I funded my study abroad experience mainly with financial aid and the International Programs Global Scholarship. I was able to apply my federal and state financial aid to my program. My mom also shelled out a decent amount.
What is one piece of advice you would pass on to a student who is about to study abroad?
Live with locals if possible. I lived with 10 other Americans and wasn’t forced to socialize as much as I should have with the locals. I imagine that living with locals would be especially helpful for students studying a language while abroad.
