Global Exchange Program Students
Global Exchange Program students work with The Office of International Affairs through the application process. Once accepted they work with our Academic Resource Center advisors to register for courses and continue working with International Affairs for many other services. Joanne Garfield is our dedicated international student advisor. Although all advisors in our office see Global Program students, Joanne has a wealth of knowledge regarding Temple's services for all international students. Whether a student is part of the Global Exchange Program or if they are admitted into a Temple degree program, Joanne is happy to schedule an appointment to discuss academic advising as it relates to international students' needs.
For your initial registration you will need to complete the study plan and pre-requisite work sheet. If you are registering for your second semester at Temple you will register directly with the advisor with whom you've been working. Please complete the study plan and pre-requisite work sheet and either schedule an appointment with your advisor by calling our office 215.204.2500 or email your advisor directly. The Office of International Affairs houses the Global Exchange Program under the direction of Martyn Miller, Senior Director Student Services. All Global Program students should be in communication with Erika Clemons, Associate Director for Global Programs, throughout the application process as well as during their course of study.
International Student Scholar Services is available to assist you with obtaining legal documentation for international students. They also offer counseling services and are there to assist you with assimilating to the Temple community.
The Global Living Learning Community offers a chance for international and domestic students to live on campus in a community devoted to internationalization and global affairs.
Conversation Partners is a service offered through the Writing Center. Students are able to practice conversation and cultural exchange outside of the classroom.
The Writing Center has special workshops and events for students whom English is not their first language.
The Math and Science Resource Center is a student-centered learning facility offering academic support and tutoring in science and mathematics.
