W260. Teaching Integrated Language, Reading and Writing (6 s.h.) F S.

Prerequisite: Must be admitted to the Teacher Certification Program. Students must pass the following Praxis I tests before taking this course: PPST-Reading and PPST-Writing. Co-Requisite: ElEd 0230- Practicum: Teaching Elementary Child N-6.

This course covers the methods, contents and materials to integrate and teach the literacy areas of listening, language, writing and reading in the elementary school. Included are various successful approaches to assess and organize the effective teaching of reading.
