How to Apply
Apply through the Fox online application system and submit your $60 application fee. Graduate candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum overall 3.0 GPA, as well as a minimum 3.0 GPA in accounting, to apply.
Prerequisite Courses
Applicants are required to complete the following six prerequisite courses.
- Auditing
- Cost Accounting
- Federal Taxes on Income
- Financial Accounting
- Intermediate Accounting I and II
Summer Bridge Program
The MAcc Summer Bridge program at Temple University is an option for students who wish to pursue a Master of Accountancy degree and have no previous accounting or business education. The bridge program prepares business students with the fundamental background knowledge they need to succeed in the program.
Prerequisites
Successful completion of financial accounting at Fox or another accredited institution, self-study of introductory financial accounting through an approved online platform such as Coursera (certificate of completion is required), or the equivalent of financial accounting through the CLEP exam.

- ACCT 2521 - Cost Accounting
- ACCT 3511 - Intermediate Accounting I
Summer 2
- ACCT 3512 - Intermediate Accounting II
- ACCT 3531 - Federal Taxes on Income
- ACCT 3596 - Auditing
Students who complete the program with at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and at least a B- in the courses listed above, with a four-year bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, are eligible to enroll in the MAcc program in the fall semester.

The MAcc Summer Bridge accounting pre-requisite courses can be completed through the Office of Continuing Studies. To register for the courses, first-time Continuing Studies students must complete an online application. After completing the application, you will receive a message from Cstudies@temple.edu to schedule a Zoom meeting.
