The IBC Student Recreation Center provides patrons with two regulation sized racquetball courts. These courts are on the second floor of the IBC Student Recreation Center. These spaces are for patrons to use for recreational racquetball and space to perform static stretching or other light fitness activities. These courts are available by reservations in-person or over the phone. Racquetball equipment is available for patrons to check-out at the front desk of the IBC Student Recreation Center.  

IBC Student Recreation Center Racquetball Reservations  

Patrons may reserve racquetball courts at the IBC Student Recreation Center. Reservations may be made up to 48 hours in advance of play.  Methods for reserving racquetball courts are as follows: 

  • In-person Reservation- Patrons may sign up for a one-hour reservation at the front desk. 
  • Phone Reservation (during business hours)- Patrons may call 215-204-2200 to reserve a court for one hour. 

Patrons must check in with the front desk staff prior to using the court.  Racquetball reservations will ONLY be held for 15 minutes after the reservation start time. All reserved courts that are not occupied 15 minutes after the reservation time will be made available for walk-in use and the patron who made the reservation will forfeit the court. 

Racquetball Court Policies

  1. Use of Campus Recreation racquetball court is voluntary. Patrons assume all risk associated with participation.
  2. Protective eyewear is required and should be properly worn while playing racquetball.
  3. All racquetball racquets are equipped with a wrist strap, which must be worn properly at all times during play.
  4. Proper footwear is always required in racquetball court. Proper footwear is defined as footwear that has a rubber, non-marking sole and covers the entire heel and top of the foot.
  5. Personal items that are not in use must be stored in locker. Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  6. All drinks must be in sealed, non-glass containers while in racquetball court. All other food and drink are prohibited in racquetball court area.
  7. Reservations are valid for one hour.
  8. Reservations are honored for a maximum of 15 minutes. After the 15-minute grace period, the reservation is lost, and the court opens to other patrons.
  9. Raquetball and Campus Recreation scheduled programming maintain priority booking of courts. Other activities deemed safe by Campus Recreation are allowed (e.g: jump rope, stretching, core work, etc). Any other special use requests must be pre-approved by Campus Recreation full-time staff.
  10. Occupancy of each court is set at 4 individuals max.
